Regional cooperation and connectivity have emerged as a key factor in strengthening ties between Romania and several countries, including Ukraine, Moldova, Bulgaria, and Turkey. Romanian Foreign Minister Emil Hurezeanu has emphasized the importance of these relationships, welcoming bilateral meetings with international partners to discuss areas such as trade, education, culture, and pro-European reforms.
The EU's Ukraine Investment Framework (UIF) guarantees have been highlighted as a crucial tool for mobilizing additional investments in Ukraine's recovery. Innovative tools like individual insurance products, political risk guarantees, and regulatory improvements are being implemented with the help of international partners. This is evident from the meeting between Ukrainian Economy Ministry representatives and European partners to discuss ways to reduce investment risks in Ukraine.
The establishment of a working group on reducing investment risks in Ukraine, including reinsurers, government agencies, donor countries, and international organizations, aims to present results at URC-2025. This collaborative effort reflects the importance of regional cooperation and connectivity in addressing the complex challenges facing Ukraine and its partners.
