Pakistan Modernizes Education System with Japan's Aid

The Pakistani government's ambitious plan to modernize its education system is a significant step towards bridging the gap between technology and human resource development in the country. A key component of this initiative is the introduction of new textbooks with conceptual illustrations, focusing on entrepreneurship, environmental literacy, and coding with artificial intelligence. This move aims to equip students with future-ready skills, as emphasized by Ambassador Akamatsu Shuichi from Japan, who expressed his country's willingness to contribute to Pakistan's digital empowerment. To strengthen STEM education, the government plans to recruit 250 engineers and scientists from the National Institute of Science and Technology to teach at 300 schools. The strategic partnership with Japan is crucial in transforming Pakistan's tech landscape and empowering its youth. The plan also includes the distribution of over 200 IT labs and 25,000 Chromebooks to ensure 100% internet connectivity in all schools.
