The international community's support for Ukraine continues to grow as several countries prepare to join the "Coalition of the Willing" to aid the country in its conflict with Russia. According to Pavlo Palisa, Deputy Head of the President's Office, ten to twelve nations are poised to join this coalition.
A key development in this effort is the visit by a French-British delegation to Ukraine. The delegation aims to maintain strong support for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and discuss a long-term strategy for army transformation and security guarantees within an international coalition. As part of its commitment, Britain has pledged £350 million (approximately $580 million) in fresh military aid as part of its 4.5-billion-pound package this year.
This funding will be used to repair and maintain vehicles and equipment, upgrade radar systems, provide anti-tank mines, and supply hundreds of thousands of drones. The goal is to strengthen Ukraine's position ahead of any potential peace deal with Russia. President Volodymyr Zelensky is set to meet with French and British general staffs in Kyiv on April 4 to discuss the deployment of a military contingent.
The meeting, co-hosted by the UK and France, aims to plan for a "reassurance force" that could be deployed if a peace agreement is reached. The objective is to put Ukraine in the strongest possible position to protect its sovereignty.
