VA Expands GI Bill Benefits for Veterans

Afshan Asif Demands Husband's Release from Custody

A petition was submitted by Afshan Asif, whose husband Sardar Mohammad Asif Naqshbandi was detained by law enforcement agencies in the Gulistan-e-Jauhar area on December 17. The petitioner claimed that her husband was not involved in any criminal activity and had been running a restaurant to support their children. She requested the Sindh High Court (SHC) to direct the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and other law enforcement agencies to produce her husband and provide details of any cases against him. The SHC issued notices to federal and provincial law officers, FIA, and others, calling for comments on January 9. In a separate matter, the SHC directed the health department and others to submit a compliance report regarding the enrolment of students in a nursing college, after petitioners claimed that despite court orders, a private nursing college was not allowing student enrolment.

IIT Delhi Launches New Programs Across Disciplines

IIT Delhi has launched several new programs across various levels of education. The Kusuma School of Biological Sciences introduced a two-year MSc in Biological Sciences program, which focuses on cutting-edge research and education in biological sciences, with admission through JAM 2024 scores. The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences launched an MA in Culture, Society, Thought program, exploring themes of culture, society, and thought through sociology, literature, and philosophy, with admission based on GATE 2024 scores. The Department of Management Studies introduced an Executive MBA for working professionals, designed for mid-career professionals with three or more years of experience, emphasizing career advancement without a break from work. Other programs include a BTech in Design, Healthcare Technology for Medical and Allied Professionals, PhD In Energy and Sustainability at the Abu Dhabi campus, and a Joint PhD program with the University of Queensland through UQIDAR.

Michigan Sets Graduation Targets for Ypsilanti Schools
