Kalispell Students Fight for School Levy Funding

A group called "One Brave Pack" is trying to persuade voters in Kalispell, Montana to support a high school levy that would fund schools and avoid cuts to programs such as the AG Center, sports, music, theater, speech and debate, and more. The levy has not passed in 18 years, and if it fails, 21 full-time positions will be eliminated. Students like Vikram Vatti, Lucy Downey, and Nat Young are canvassing their community to raise awareness about the importance of passing the levy, which would increase taxes for a home with a taxable value of $447,000 by approximately $73.80 per year.
