Point Emeritus Board Member Shelley Freeman and her wife Joni Rim are committing to fund 10 BIPOC scholarships, with an anonymous donor from Asheville, North Carolina, increasing their support by investing in vocational and technical school scholarships at Point. This comes as other individuals have created new community college scholarships and two undergraduate scholarships in perpetuity, amid a response to the threat of new legislation and anti-LGBTQ rhetoric.
