Dr. Alomar Warns on Dangers of Overworking Employees

Dr. Waleed Alomar, a specialist in psychiatry at Medcare Hospital Sharjah, has highlighted the negative effects of overworking on employees' physical and mental health. According to Gallup's research, employee wellbeing is crucial for workplace productivity and affects job performance, burnout, and turnover rates. Dr. Alomar noted that overworking increases the risk of cardiovascular disease and stroke, while also leading to exhaustion, stress, disturbed sleep, and unhealthy lifestyle choices. Girish Hemnani, an Energy Healer and Life Coach based in Dubai, added that productivity tends to plateau after 50 hours per week, emphasizing the importance of quality focus, creativity, and energy over sheer volume of work hours.
