Indiana Schools Pilot AI Tutoring Program

The Indiana Department of Education launched an AI pilot program, which allowed 112 schools across 36 districts to purchase an AI platform. The pilot enabled lesson planning, differentiated learning, and AI-powered tutoring while avoiding political or inappropriate answers. Khanmigo, Khan Academy’s AI platform, was the most commonly used platform, with 20 of the 36 participating districts using it. Districts also used Amira, Edia, Schooljoy, and others.
