IMF Warns of Older Workers Losing Jobs to AI

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has warned that the transition to an age of artificial intelligence (AI) could be painful for workers, particularly older ones who may not have the necessary skills. AI is expected to affect almost 40% of jobs worldwide, replacing some and complementing others. The IMF recommends an “agile” approach for governments to prepare for highly disruptive scenarios.
