Hong Kong Firms Struggle with AI Talent

According to Amazon Web Services’ research, 70% of Hong Kong employers prioritize hiring AI-skilled talent, but 73% struggle to find the necessary expertise, highlighting a looming AI skills gap in the city. The study found that workers with AI skills and expertise could see salary hikes up to 28%, with those in information technology, research and development, and sales and marketing experiencing the highest pay bumps. The research was conducted by Access Partnership and aims to understand emerging AI usage trends and skill needs in Hong Kong workplaces.
