Grammarly Partners with University to Score Written Assignments

Grammarly, a company that provides writing support, has partnered with Western Governors University (WGU) to offer its AI-powered Writing Score API to WGU students. The API provides real-time feedback on written assignments, scoring them from 1-100 based on factors such as spelling, grammar, clarity, and tone. This technology aims to help students improve their writing skills and become more effective communicators in their future careers. The partnership will be piloted at scale in higher education, providing a measure of baseline quality for students’ writing and giving faculty more time to engage with students’ ideas.
