Dubai Launches AI Centre for Innovation

The Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been established to drive innovation and development in the field of AI. The centre aims to reduce accidents and operational costs in the transport sector, lower chronic disease rates in the health sector, and improve facility management and smart consumption in the renewable energy sector. Sheikh Hamdan, Crown Prince of Dubai, emphasized the importance of harnessing AI for societal benefit, encouraging government employees to utilize generative AI tools to enhance productivity. The centre is expected to have a significant impact, with the global generative AI market projected to grow from $10 billion in 2022 to $110.8 billion by 2030.
