Bytedance to Invest $2.3 Billion in Malaysia AI Hub

Bytedance, the parent company of TikTok, plans to invest approximately 10 billion ringgit (2.13 billion) to turn Malaysia into a regional artificial intelligence hub. This investment was announced by Malaysia’s Investment, Trade And Industry Minister Tengku Zafrul Aziz. The proposed project will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This comes a week after Google announced plans to invest $2 billion in Malaysia’s AI infrastructure.
