Netflix subscribers are complaining about the use of artificial intelligence to replicate the voice and image of Lou Pearlman in the documentary “Dirty Pop: The Boyband Scam”.
The AI technology is used to narrate Pearlman’s writings throughout the series.
The documentary chronicles the rise and fall of Pearlman, who created iconic boy bands such as Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC.
