However, critics labeled the plan “creepy” due to concerns over patient privacy and safety. The AI system would listen in on private medical appointments, raising worries about data security and patients’ willingness to discuss sensitive issues freely while being recorded. On a more positive note, high-tech robots like Aeo, a 2ft tall Japanese nurse-bot, are being hailed as a potential solution to the NHS workforce crisis. In one example, a robot named Milton is being used at Milton Keynes University Hospital to transport medicines and relieve pressure on human staff.
