AI-Fueled Fire Detection System Launched

Artificial intelligence plays a crucial role in detecting and alerting authorities to fires through a network of sensors. These sensors gather data on particulates in the air, weather conditions, and other factors to pinpoint the location of a fire, even from a mile away. Once detected, the AI sends automatic notifications via text or email to registered customers, including local fire departments and utilities. The sensors are currently deployed in 10 states and parts of Canada, with each sensor costing around the price of an average smartphone. This early detection system aims to prepare communities for wildfire season by quickly identifying potential fires before they spread.
